Pedestrian dies after being hit by truck in Boise

A pedestrian died Sunday after being hit by a pickup truck near South Maple Grove Road and West Brookview Court in Boise.

Witnesses told Boise police that at about 6:47 p.m. an older, white pickup was traveling south on Maple Grove when the truck left the road and struck a person on the sidewalk. The pedestrian died at the scene.

The driver of the pickup is cooperating with police and was taken to a hospital with minor injures. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed, according to police.
