Grass fire ignites near East Boise Foothills, quickly contained

A small grass fire started around 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Boise Foothills, near Warm Springs Avenue and Teresa Drive.

Boise Fire crews responded and by 9:40 p.m., Ada County dispatch said the fire was mostly controlled. The fire started between the Greenbelt and the Boise River, near the Oregon Trail turnoff.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear and further information was unavailable Tuesday evening.
