Westbound I-84 in E. Oregon reopens three hours after hazardous-materials truck fire
The stretch of Interstate started about 10:30 a.m. in Pendleton and expanded eastward to LaGrande, then Baker City as backed- up truck traffic filled truck stops and available truck parking areas, Oregon State Police report.
Westbound lanes had reopened as of 1:40 p.m., OSP reports.
The fire was reported near exit 207 in Pendleton in a truck carrying cleaning compound, food flavoring and cigarette lighters, according to Oregon State Police.
Eastbound lanes were not affected by the truck fire.
