Watch Boise soccer fans bring the noise as U.S. battles Brazil for goals in arena game

Boise produced a sold-out crowd for the U.S. National Arena Soccer Team’s first visit to CenturyLink Arena on Friday night — but the Americans couldn’t deliver the goals.

Brazil beat the U.S. 5-1 in the international friendly. The first half was scoreless and Brazil dominated the second half, which featured a lone power-play goal for the Americans.

The U.S. is 2-3 on its summer tour.

“I thought it was a great night of family-friendly entertainment and we were happy to bring such a great event to Downtown Boise,” said Eric Trapp, the arena general manager. “I think everyone had fun and was really into it. Hope we can do it again soon.”
