Winner-to-state football matchups set for 6A SIC. See the full Week 9 schedule

Friday’s results finalized the 6A SIC football regular-season standings, setting the stage for all-important Week 9 matchups in the Treasure Valley league.

The winners of each division advanced to the conference championship game. That leaves the next eight teams to battle for a spot in the state playoffs next week.

6A SIC FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

  • No. 1 Timberline (7-1) at No. 1 Eagle (8-0)

The winner clinches home-field advantage through the state semifinals. Both teams already clinched first-round byes and will host state quarterfinal games.

WINNER-TO-STATE FOOTBALL GAMES

  • No. 5 Meridian (2-6) at No. 2 Mountain View (5-3)
  • No. 5 Kuna (2-6) at No. 2 Rocky Mountain (7-1)
  • No. 4 Capital (4-4) at No. 3 Boise (4-4)
  • No. 4 Owyhee (5-3) at No. 3 Middleton (5-3)

The winner of each game clinches a guaranteed playoff spot. Losers can still make it to state, but they will need to qualify for one of three at-large playoff berths determined by the final MaxPreps.com rankings.

CONSOLATION GAME

  • No. 6 Centennial (0-8) at No. 6 Borah (1-7)

Both teams finished last in their division and are mathematically eliminated from the state playoffs.
