Idaho high school football rankings: The best teams halfway through the season

We’ve officially reached the midpoint of the Idaho high school football season with just five weeks left until the playoffs. And after five weeks of games, a consensus has formed around the state title favorites in five of the state’s six classifications.

Rocky Mountain (6A), Bishop Kelly (5A), Sugar-Salem (4A), Kendrick (2A) and Carey (1A) all finished comfortably atop the latest state media poll released Tuesday. The only division without a clear favorite remains 3A, where West Side and Ririe tied for first, and North Fremont also received three first-place votes.
