Top 10 highlights: The best plays from Week 1 of Idaho high school football

Idaho’s high school football season officially returned with a full schedule last week. That means it’s time to reboot the Top 10 plays of the week.

Check out all of the top highlights in the video above.

The Top 10 highlights from Week 1 include:

  • 1. Fruitland’s Spencer Tracy returning a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown while tip-toeing down both sidelines. 
  • 2. Ridgevue’s Isaac Jones hauling in a juggling, 38-yard touchdown catch.
  • 3. Capital’s Quincey Clay busting a spin move to break free for a 68-yard touchdown run.
  • 4. Sandpoint’s Maverick Gomez slipping behind the defense and making tacklers miss for a 90-yard score. 
  • 5. Rocky Mountain’s Rasean Jones making a 93-yard kickoff return look easy. 
  • 6. Timberline’s Jack Brant scrambling and firing a 27-yard TD pass on fourth down. 
  • 7. Highland’s Cedric Mitchell breaking an 83-yard touchdown run on the Rams’ first play. 
  • 8. Valley’s Thomas Vargas bowling over a defender on his way to a 40-yard TD catch
  • 9. McCall-Donnelly’s Gunner Newman slipping out and catching a 39-yard touchdown from Joker Joyce
  • 10. Boise’s Trevor Schoolfield shaking a host of defenders during a 25-yard run.
