4A All-Idaho football team: The exclusive list of the all-state first and second teams

4A ALL-IDAHO FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Dawson McInelly, Sugar-Salem
Name it, and he did it for the Diggers. The senior served as a star running back, bruising linebacker, kick returner and punter, finishing the season with 1,851 all-purpose yards and 25 touchdowns for the state champs. But his best sport remains baseball, where he’s signed with Utah Tech.
“He’s a playmaker and a phenomenal athlete,” Homedale coach Matt Holtry said. “He’s fun to watch, unless you are playing against him.”
COACH OF THE YEAR
Jordan Gross, Fruitland
The NFL veteran led his alma mater from a 2-8 record last year to an 8-3 campaign with a trip to the quarterfinals.
ALL-STATE FIRST TEAM
OFFENSE
QB: Titus Vidlak, Fruitland
The sophomore led 4A QBs with 2,649 total yards and 35 total touchdowns while completing 65% of his passes.
RB: Kash Cobb, Weiser
The senior averaged 7.1 yards per carry to lead 4A in rushing yards (1,336 yards) and rushing TDs (20).
RB: Gabe Finley, Buhl
A converted quarterback, the 6-1, 200-pound senior bullied his way to 1,250 rushing yards and 10 TDs.
WR: Luke Henry, Homedale
A threat catching, running, throwing or returning the ball, the senior totaled 1,457 all-purpose yards and 19 TDs.
WR: Joe Barrett, Kimberly
The 6-foot, sure-handed sophomore was a weapon in the red zone, hauling in 33 catches for 670 yards and 12 TDs.
WR: Coye Coffman, Fruitland
The elusive and electric senior scored three TDs on special teams while turning 53 catches into 520 yards and nine TDs.
OL: Kelvin Obot, Fruitland
The 6-5, 260-pound junior rocketed up the recruiting rankings, earning four stars and offers from all over the country.
OL: Clark Siddoway, Sugar-Salem
The senior made the first team on both lines with his size (6-3, 280) and athleticism as a pulling guard.
OL: Brayden Pocock, Sugar-Salem
The 6-foot, 215-pound center was the cornerstone for the 4A classification’s top offense, which averaged 6.4 yards per carry.
OL: Issai Herrera, Weiser
The Wolverines ran for 249 yards per game behind the 6-2, 265-pound senior tackle with 39 pancake blocks.
OL: Caden Layne, Homedale
Referred to as a coach on the field, the three-year starter and senior guard led a young line to new heights.
K: Diego Dellgadillo, Weiser
The big-legged senior converted 46-of-52 PATs and made 3-of-3 field goals with a long of 42 yards.
DEFENSE
DL: Ben Aldrich, Sugar-Salem
The senior was a force coming off the edge with three blocked kicks, 58 tackles and 13.5 tackles for loss.
DL: Clark Siddoway, Sugar-Salem
He ate up double teams, harassed the QB and pursued ball carriers all over the field from his tackle position.
DL: Porter Higley, Buhl
The 6-foot, 200-pound junior lived in the backfield, leading 4A with 14 sacks and added 17 tackles for loss.
DL: Kelvin Obot, Fruitland
The Grizzlies moved the two-way, first-team pick all over the front and he posted 52 tackles with six sacks.
LB: Brock Walker, Homedale
A repeat first-team pick, the senior played with a nonstop motor and delivered big hits, finishing with 69 tackles.
LB: Quinn Hood, Fruitland
The state champion wrestler led 4A with 153 tackles as a senior, making plays from sideline to sideline.
LB: Gabe Finley, Buhl
A physical force in short-yardage situations, the senior middle linebacker posted 72 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
LB: Luke Sarich, Weiser
The Wolverines used the senior at linebacker and safety, knowing he’d seek out the ball with 148 tackles.
DB: Abe Baldwin, Sugar-Salem
Capable of locking down the field as a single high safety, the senior made 49 tackles and picked off three passes.
DB: Luke Henry, Homedale
A two-way, first-team pick, the senior safety made all the coverage adjustments for the state runner-up.
DB: AJ Walker, Kimberly
The senior safety used a sixth sense to sniff out plays, finishing with 70 tackles and five interceptions.
P: Lukas Hall, Homedale
Kicking camps are quickly inviting the junior to attend after he averaged 40.3 yards per punt this fall.
