Watch the 10 best plays from around the state in the video above. The Idaho Statesman reviewed submissions from coaches each week, selecting the top highlights each week before naming the plays of the year.

The countdown includes:

1. Dietrich’s Connor Perkins breaking nine tackles for an 88-yard touchdown run.
2. Timberline’s Hudson Lewis shaking a host of defenders for a 19-yard touchdown catch.
3. Middleton’s Jake Perez somehow keeping his feet for a 55-yard touchdown run.
4. Bishop Kelly’s Dom Wolthuis hauling in a sticky, one-handed touchdown catch.
5. Carey’s Gabe Saili posterizing two defenders for a 55-yard touchdown catch in the state semifinals.
6. Lakeland’s Lovie Weil hurdling over the defense head first for an 8-yard touchdown run.
7. Owyhee’s Nate Keith scrambling and finding Ryan Brekke, who stiff-armed a defender for a 45-yard touchdown catch.
8. Hagerman’s Wyatt Mavencamp blowing up a defender on his way to a 75-yard touchdown run.
9. Emmett’s Haus Davis making a diving catch for a game-winning touchdown with 40 seconds left
10. Timberline’s Hudson Lewis timing the snap to force and return a fumble for a touchdown
