Idaho high school football rankings: The state title favorites in every classification
Idaho’s high school football playoffs start this week, which means it’s time for one thing — to pick the favorites.
Sports reporters around the state did just that in the final Idaho state media poll of the season, released Tuesday. The top-ranked teams include Rocky Mountain (6A), Skyline (5A), Homedale (4A), Declo (3A), Logos (2A) and Carey (1A).
Idaho thankfully no longer crowns its champions on paper. Teams will battle it out on the field over the next month. But size up the favorites and the dark horses with the full 6A to 1A rankings below.
The state media poll stretches back decades and is separate from the MaxPreps computer rankings Idaho uses to seed many of its playoffs.
