FOOTBALL
Aiden Joye, Owyhee: Hauled in five catches for 48 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score in a 28-21 overtime victory over Boise in the first round of the 5A state playoffs.
Jeff Thompson, Rocky Mountain: Turned 11 offensive touches into 147 yards as he led the Grizzlies in rushing and receiving in a 30-15 win over Borah in the first round of the 5A state playoffs.
Henry Nelson, Mountain View: Went 10-for-18 for 139 yards and three first-half touchdowns in the Mavericks’ 24-14 win at Post Falls in the first round of the 5A state playoffs.
Peter Minnaert, Bishop Kelly: Needed just eight carries to post 143 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 48-12 rout of Burley to open the 4A state playoffs.
Mason Krahn, Skyview: Caught for passes for 63 yards and two TDs, including the winning score with 2:42 left in the Hawks’ 21-14 win over Shelley in the first round of the 4A state playoffs. He also made five tackles on defense.
Quentin Smith, Emmett: Ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the Huskies 34-33 overtime win at Minico in the first round of the 4A state playoffs.
Kolin Cook, Weiser: Finished 5-for-6 for 222 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-16 win vs. Marsh Valley in the first round of the 3A state playoffs.
