FOOTBALL

Peter Minnaert, Bishop Kelly: Returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown, and ran for 52 yards and a TD in a 70-0 blowout of Canyon Ridge to open the 4A state playoffs.

Cole Holman, Middleton: Scored the Vikings’ only two touchdowns in a 14-7 road win vs. Lewiston in the 5A state playoffs. He caught a 23-yard TD pass, and ran for 93 yards and a TD.

Parker Weatherly, Rocky Mountain: Racked up three sacks, 8.5 tackles and returned a fumble 29 yards for a score in a 51-10 win vs. Kuna in the 5A state playoffs.

Dawson Wahl, Mountain View: Went 16-for-20 for 199 yards and a touchdown, and ran for 57 yards and two more scores in a 44-0 win at Nampa in the 5A state playoffs.

Max Cutforth, Skyview: Finished 34-for-49 for 409 yards and four TDs as the Hawks fell 63-35 at Sandpoint in the first round of the 4A state playoffs.

Michael Youngberg, Weiser: Turned 14 offensive touches into 194 total yards and two TDs in a 34-27 win over Timberlake in the first round of the 3A state playoffs.
