Montana junior outside linebacker Josh Buss was selected to the all-Big Sky Conference preseason football team Monday.

The 2014 Mountain View High graduate led Montana with 81 tackles last season, including a Big Sky-high 20 tackles for loss. He was a third-team All-Big Sky Conference selection after last season.

“Josh Buss is an amazing player and this year he’s going to be even better,” Montana center Cooper Sprunk told 406mtsports.com at Big Sky media days.

Buss set 11 Mountain View school records as a senior and was elected the 2013 5A All-Idaho Player of the Year. He ran for 1,986 yards and 22 touchdowns as the Mavericks reached the state quarterfinals.

Conference media members and sports information directors select the preseason all-conference team.
