With the high school girls basketball season over, it’s time for the boys’ season to heat up.

The 4A SIC determines its two guaranteed state berths with district semis at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Middleton hosts Skyview, and Bishop Kelly hosts Kuna.

Thursday features four district championships (4A, 3A, 2A and 1A Division I). And the 5A final follows at 7 p.m. Friday as Borah (20-2) hosts Centennial (20-3), the only team to beat the Lions this season.

Eight of the Treasure Valley’s 13 guaranteed state berths have been spoken for. The state-bound teams include: Centennial and Borah (5A), Parma and Emmett (3A), Melba and Nampa Christian (2A), and Ambrose and Liberty Charter (1A DI).

State runs March 3-5 at the Ford Idaho Center (5A), Borah (4A), Meridian (3A), Capital (2A), Vallivue (1A DI) and Caldwell (1A DII).

Coming Sunday in the Statesman: Pairings for all six state tournaments.
