Eagle spoils Rocky coach’s 800th win
Rocky Mountain High girls basketball coach Emery Roy will have to wait another day to collect his 800th career victory.
The Grizzlies fell at home Thursday to rival Eagle 57-33, leaving the legendary coach stuck on 799 victories in the midst of 38th season as a head coach in the Treasure Valley.
Rocky Mountain (5-9, 3-6 5A SIC) gets another chance to deliver Roy the milestone when it travels to Meridian (2-9, 2-7) at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
