GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tiana Sorenson, Homedale: Played all 32 minutes in the final high school game of her career, scoring 26 points with eight rebounds and a steal in a loss to McCall-Donnelly.
Julia Baerlocher, Bishop Kelly: Went 5-for-5 from 3-point range and totaled 24 points to help the Knights defeat Columbia 42-33 in the 5A District Three Tournament championship.
Berkley Jones, Eagle: Knocked down 5-of-8 from beyond the arc and totaled 28 points with five rebounds as the Mustangs defeated Boise 65-41 in the 6A District Three Tournament championship.
Annelise Curran, Ambrose: Led the Archers with 21 points as they edged New Plymouth 60-59 for the first 3A District Three Tournament championship in program history.
Tamaya Rogers, Victory Charter: Notched a double-double of 11 points and 19 rebounds to go with two steals, two blocks and one assist as the Vipers beat Vision Charter 44-37 in the 2A District Three Tournament championship.
Kennedy Wilson, Salmon River: Led the Savages in points (19) and rebounds (9) on their way to a 68-25 win over Garden Valley in the 1A District Three Tournament championship.
Kya Davis, Borah: Helped the Lions earn the 6A SIC’s final state berth with 17 points, nine rebounds, four blocks, two assists and one steal in a 46-30 win over Rocky Mountain.
Emmi Swillie, Timberline: Forced a win-securing turnover to edge Rocky Mountain 35-34 and qualify for state. Swillie totaled seven points, nine rebounds and two steals.
