GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ava Miler, Gem State: Led the Jaguars in games against Wilder and Idaho City with a combined 28 points, 14 steals, 12 rebounds and seven assists.
Hailee Karpowitz, Nampa: Helped the Bulldogs earn their first conference win since 2023, dropping 20 points and 20 rebounds in a win over Vallivue.
Nya Pellant-Latham, Boise: Averaged 19 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game as the Brave defeated Mountain Home and Rocky Mountain.
Leah Orelus, Skyview: Contributed 24 points, seven rebounds and four steals while going 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in a victory over Vallivue.
Miriam Stafford, Capital: Helped the Eagles defeat Owyhee with 14 points and six rebounds and then added 15 points, two rebounds and two steals against Middleton.
Aarey Harris, Parma: Posted a double-double of 21 points and 23 rebounds in a win over New Plymouth, then had 21 points, eight rebounds and five steals to beat Marsing.
Isela Garcia, Notus: Recorded 25 points, nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks against Greenleaf and then totaled 13 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and two steals against Tri-Valley.
Zoey Blackwell, Middleton: Led the Vikings to a key 6A SIC win over Eagle with 18 points, seven steals, four rebounds and four assists.
Emmi Swillie, Timberline: Averaged a double-double of 17.7 points and 10 rebounds for the Wolves during a three-game tournament in Wyoming.
Naomi Hayek, Centennial Baptist: Scored 27 points with six rebounds and two steals as the Mustangs defeated North Star Charter in 2A WIC play.
