GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Aarey Harris, Parma: Totaled 38 points, 20 rebounds, four steals, four assists and three blocks in games against Mountain View and Fruitland.
Kya Davis, Borah: Led the Lions to a pair of wins over Owyhee and Boise, totaling 29 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, three steals and three blocks with just two turnovers. She also had a behind-the-back assist that led to an and-1 opportunity for a teammate.
Hailey Hove, Garden Valley: The Wolverines played four games last week, with Hove leading the team in scoring in three of those games. She racked up 64 points on the week, averaging 16 points per game.
Mati Burke, Treasure Valley Classical: Dropped 25 points in a 51-31 win over Greenleaf, then added 14 against Centennial Baptist and 20 against Compass Charter.
Tamaya Rodgers, Victory Charter: Posed an all-around threat in the Vipers’ win over Riverstone, grabbing 18 rebounds to go with 14 points and three blocked shots.
Isela Garcia, Notus: Helped the Pirates defeat Ontario (OR) 46-25 with 19 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots.
Dawn Holman, Middleton: Leads the Vikings in points per game this season, averaging 12.8. She had 18 points and four rebounds in a win over Westview (CA), and added 15 points, three steals and three blocks in a loss to Rancho Christian (CA).
Emmi Swillie, Timberline: Is averaging nearly a double-double at 9.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game to go with 4.0 assists. The Wolves played four games last week, and Swillie led the team in scoring three of those games, including 21 points against Boise.
Rylee Walters, Salmon River: Helped the Savages stay undefeated, totaling 45 points in three games, an average of 15 points per game.
Miriam Stafford, Capital: Leads the Eagles in scoring at 11.0 points per game. Stafford had 16 points, three steals, two rebounds and two assists against Bishop Kelly, and then eight points, four rebounds, two steals, one block and one assist in a win over Ridgevue.
