GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Josie Davis, Owyhee: Guided the Storm to their first 6A state championship in program history by averaging 12.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 steals, 3.0 assists and 0.7 blocks per game.

Kaity Haan, Boise: Helped the Brave take home the second-place trophy at the 6A state tournament by averaging 10.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 1.7 steals and 0.7 assists per game.

Nakiyia Percell, Borah: Averaged 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists to help the Lions earn state hardware for the first time since 2006, winning the 6A consolation title.

Zoey Blackwell, Middleton: Led the Vikings to a 5A state runner-up finish, contributing 15.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 2.7 assists per game.

Brooke Hutchinson, Bishop Kelly: In two games at the 5A state tournament, the senior guard averaged 23.0 points and 3.0 assists, knocking down 10-of-17 from 3-point range.

Lexie Arnold, McCall-Donnelly: Helped the Vandals bring home state hardware for the first time since 1979, totaling 14 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in their 4A state consolation victory.

Aarey Harris, Parma: Played a key role in the Panthers’ first 3A state championship in program history, averaging 16.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.

Maycee Christensen, New Plymouth: Averaged 17.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while knocking down 10 3-pointers in three tournament games as the Pilgrims won the 3A consolation trophy.

Tariah Carter, Melba: Led the Mustangs to the 3A third-place trophy at state, averaging 19.3 points. 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.

Rylee Walters, Salmon River: Helped the Savages advance to the 1A third-place game, contributing averages of 16.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks per game.
