Two-time defending state champion Mountain View handed Eagle a 51-50 loss Tuesday night, but it wasn’t enough to knock the Mustangs out of first place in the second Idaho high school girls basketball state media poll of the season, which was released Wednesday.

The Mustangs received six of 10 first-place votes, while Boise received three and moved up to No. 2 after tying for fifth in the first poll last week. Mountain View received one first-place nod at No. 3, and Post Falls (No. 4) and Centennial (No. 5) rounded out the 5A Top 5.

In 4A, Minico took over the No. 1 spot over defending champion Century, while first-place remained unchanged in 3A, 2A, 1A Division I and 1A Division II.
