AA American Legion Baseball state tournament starts Tuesday in Boise

The eight-team AA American Legion Baseball state tournament runs Tuesday through Saturday at Timberline High.

The Boise Capitals, Boise Gems, Rocky Mountain Avalanche and Treasure Valley Stars will represent the Valley in the tournament, while the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen, Idaho Falls Bandits, Lewis-Clark Twins and Pocatello Runnin’ Rebels earned berths from outside the area.

Games start at 10 a.m. Tuesday, and the opening ceremony is set for 6:45 p.m.

The championship is Saturday beginning at 11 a.m., with an if-necessary match at 2 p.m.
