Prep 7-on-7 passing tournament begins Friday in Boise

The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Football Challenge begins with pool play at 9 a.m. at the Optimist Youth Sports Complex on Hill Road.

This year’s event includes 24 teams and nearly 750 athletes.

Single-elimination games begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, and the Lineman’s Challenge runs from 9 to 11 a.m.

The varsity title is set for noon Saturday.

Emmett is the defending 7-on-7 champion.
