State championship week is here
The spring high school sports season ends with a bang, starting with four state golf tournaments Monday scattered throughout the Treasure Valley. Baseball follows on Thursday, then softball, tennis and track and field kick it up into full gear Friday and Saturday.
By the time the dust settles Saturday evening, 34 team state titles will be awarded to go along with 54 individual state championships.
Golf: Monday-Tuesday: 5A at BanBury, 4A at Falcon Crest, 3A at River Birch, 2A at Red Hawk
Baseball: Thursday-Saturday: 5A at Memorial Stadium; 4A at College of Southern Idaho; 3A at Treasure Valley Community College; 2A at Orofino High; 1A at College of Idaho (Friday-Saturday)
Softball: Friday-Saturday: 5A at Bonneville High (Idaho Falls); 4A at Twin Falls High; 3A at OK Ward Park (Pocatello); 2A at Blackfoot High, 1A at Quad Park (Caldwell)
Track and field: Friday-Saturday: 5A, 4A at Dona Larsen Park; 3A, 2A, 1A at Middleton High
Tennis: Friday-Saturday: 5A at Timberline High; 4A at Boise Racquet & Swim Club; 3A at Vallivue High
