Boise Nationals Soccer Club partners with Portland Timbers
The reigning MLS Cup champions announced Monday they will add the Boise Nationals Soccer Club to their “adidas Timbers Alliance,” a network of youth clubs designed to funnel talent into the Timbers’ development programs and the team’s academy.
Established in 1986, the Boise Nationals — now known as the Boise Nationals Timbers — is the oldest soccer club in Idaho. Treasure Valley players will gain access to camps held by the Timbers’ staff, and Portland will also host coaching clinics as part of its Timbers 2 game June 4 at Rocky Mountain High in Meridian.
The Timbers 2 play in the USL, the third-division of American soccer leagues.
