Help us choose the best of the best in the latest Idaho Statesman boys and girls track athlete of the week contest.

Polls close at noon Wednesday. Read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes. This is not meant to be scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

GIRLS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Quincy Keller, Mountain View: Won the 100 (11.87) and 200 (24.82) for the second year in a row, and ran a leg on the Mavericks’ winning 4x200 relay (1:41.24) and second-place 4x100 relay (48.22) at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Hallie Heemeyer, Rocky Mountain: Finished first in the 800 (2:10.30) and 1,600 (4:44.55) and placed second in the 3,200 (10:38.22). She also ran a leg on the Grizzlies’ fourth-place 4x400 relay (4:01.34) at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Eden Francis, Capital: Won four golds at the 6A state championships, claiming the 100 hurdles (14.67), javelin (125-9) and long jump (18-11) and running a leg on the Eagles’ record-setting 4x100 relay (46.53).

Audrey Orme, Boise: Placed first in the 3,200 (10:35.11) and ran the anchor leg on the Brave’s winning 4x800 relay (9:19.13) at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High School. She also added runner-up finishes in the 800 (2:11.22) and 1,600 (4:53.64).

Nadja Burkholder, Timberline: Won the triple jump, tying a personal-best with a distance of 39-5.25 and added a fifth-place showing in the long jump (17-7) at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Addi Richards, Emmett: Won the pole vault for the second time in her career with a clearance of 12-6 at the 5A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Olyvia Denison, Payette: Took first in the triple jump with a distance of 37-10, added a runner-up finish in the long jump (17-2.5) and was seventh in the high jump (5-0) at the 4A state championships at Middleton High School.

Lily Yeakley, Parma: Placed first in the 100 in a personal-best 12.08 and added a runner-up showing in the 200 (25.21). She also ran legs on the Panthers’ runner-up medley relay (1:51.68) and third-place 4x100 relay (51.89) at the 3A state championships at Middleton High School.

Avery Reece, Nampa Christian: Qualified for the finals in four events, winning the 200 (25.01) and long jump (17-8), and taking second in both the 100 (12.09) and 100 hurdles (14.43) at the 3A state championships at Middleton High School.

Leah Ray, Victory Charter: Helped the Vipers rack up 40 points with wins in the 100 hurdles (15.20), 300 hurdles (44.15), 4x100 relay (50.63) and 4x200 relay (1:46.71) at the 2A state championships at Middleton High School.

BOYS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Quinton Williams, Boise: Swept the 200 (21.60) and 400 (48.51), and ran legs on the Brave’s second-place 4x200 relay (1:26.92) and 4x400 relay (3:20.18) at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Elliot Schrack, Capital: Set a classification record with his win in the javelin with a personal-best distance of 176-5 and ran a leg on the Eagles’ third-place 4x100 relay (42.28) at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Logan Payne, Meridian: Came from behind to win the 800 in a personal-best 1:52.86 at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Hyrum Tuft, Rocky Mountain: Won the 1,600 in a personal-best 4:10.43 and also was third in the 800 (1:54.30) and fourth in the 3,200 (9:22.15) at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Trev Larson, Eagle: Ran to a first-place finish in the 300 hurdles in 38.33, placed fifth in the 100 hurdles (14.78) and ran a leg on the Mustangs’ sixth-place 4x200 relay (1:29.35) at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High.

Caden Warren, Ridgevue: Jumped a season-best 22-4.5 to win the long jump by 1.5 inches at the 6A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Jakobe Davis, Vallivue: Set an overall state record with his win in the 400 in 47.40 seconds and placed fourth in the 200 (22.18) at the 5A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Ammon Hammer, Columbia: Established a classification record in the pole vault with his personal-best clearance of 16-.025 at the 5A state championships at Mountain View High School.

Ian Johnson, Nampa Christian: Finished with four gold medals at the 3A state championships, winning the 400 (49.62) and 300 hurdles (38.98) and running legs on the Trojans’ first-place 4x200 relay (1:29.31) and 4x400 relay (3:25.92).

Charlie Speirs, McCall-Donnelly: Ran to victory in the 1,600 (4:25.53) and 3,200 (9:23.54) and took third in the 800 (1:56.62) at the 4A state championships at Middleton High School.
