Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.
GIRLS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Aliceann Hilleshiem, Eagle: Won the long jump with a personal-best 18-0.25, the triple jump (36-5.5) and ran a leg on the Mustangs’ winning 4x100 relay (48.95) at the Legends Twilight Invitational in Walla Walla.
Leila Erickson, Nampa: Claimed the high jump title at the 21-team Legends Twilight Invitational in Walla Walla with a clearance of 5-2.
Hallie Heemeyer, Rocky Mountain: Placed second in the elite mile in personal-best time of 4:40.42 at the Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays in Oregon.
Quincy Keller, Mountain View: Finished first in three events, winning the 100 (12.32), 200 (24.72) and running a leg on the Mavericks’ 4x100 relay (49.04) at the Bandanna Invite at Mountain View High.
Adele Hille, Skyview: Ran a personal-best 12.57 to win the 100, and finished first in the 200 (26.36) and 4x200 relay (1:51.66) at the Skyview Invitational.
Avery Reece, Nampa Christian: Placed first in the 200 (25.00) and 100 hurdles (14.69), and added a runner-up finish in the long jump (16-0) and third in the 100 (12.48) at the Dave Mangum Invitational in Melba.
Kennedy Fitch, Fruitland: Won the 100 hurdles (16.38), 300 hurdles (47.29) and ran a leg on the Grizzlies’ winning 4x100 relay (51.65) at the Snake River Conference meet at Homedale High. She also placed fourth in the long jump (15-11).
Olyvia Denison, Payette: Swept the high jump (5-0), long jump (18-0.5) and triple jump (36-2.5) at the Snake River Conference meet at Homedale High.
Carlie Warriner, Cole Valley Christian: Placed first in the 100 (13.05) and 200 (27.02), and ran a leg on the Chargers’ runner-up 4x100 relay (51.68) at the Snake River Conference meet at Homedale High. She also placed second in the long jump (16-11.5).
Amelie Purcell, Capital: Posted a pair of personal bests, winning the 800 in 2:15.91 and taking second in the 1,600 (5:09.09) at the Bandanna Invite at Mountain View High.
BOYS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Dax Sather, Eagle: Won the pole vault with a clearance of 14-6 at the 21-team Legends Twilight Invitational in Walla Walla.
Jaren Williams, Kuna: Established a school record and the freshman meet record with a throw of 136-5 at the Tiger/Grizz Invitational in Idaho Falls.
Finley Wilkins, Cascade: Placed second in the high jump with a clearance of 5-10 and jumped a personal-best 19-6 to take fourth in the long jump at the Don Walker Invite in Oregon.
Hyrum Tuft, Rocky Mountain: Won the 3,200 in a personal-best 8:58.60 — which ranks No. 2 in the state — at the Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays in Oregon.
Charlie Speirs, McCall-Donnelly: Placed first in the 800 (2:06.87) and 3,200 (9:31.08), and ran a leg on the Vandals’ winning 4x400 relay (3:34.79) at the Snake River Conference meet at Homedale High.
Eli Rich, Boise: Claimed the 100 (11.25) and ran a leg on the Brave’s winning 4x200 relay (1:27.33) at the Bandanna Invite at Mountain View High. He also placed second in the 200 (21.83) and fourth in the 4x100 relay (43.08).
Chase Dawson, Nampa Christian: Won the 400 (52.61), 1,600 (4:44.15) and ran a leg on the Trojans’ winning 4x400 relay (3:31.39) at the Dave Mangum Invite in Melba.
Ethan Minegar, Cole Valley Christian: Took first in the 100 (11.18) and ran a leg on the Chargers’ winning 4x200 relay (1:30.46) at the Snake River Conference meet at Homedale High. He also placed second in the 200 (22.78) and fourth in the 4x100 relay (45.18).
Koda VanDahlen, Mountain View: Placed first in the 1,600 (4:21.11) and ran a leg on the Mavericks’ winning 4x400 relay (3:26.08) at the Bandanna Invite at Mountain View High. He also took third in the 800 (1:56.37).
Josh Dorman, Skyview: Swept the 100 (11.17) and 200 (23.26) at the Skyview Invitational in Nampa.
