Treasure Valley boys, girls track athlete of the week (April 6 to 12)

GIRLS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Quincy Keller, Mountain View: Won the 200 in a season-best 24.69, the No. 2 time in the state, took second in the 200 (11.79, tied for No. 1) and ran a leg on the Mavericks’ runner-up 4x100 relay (49.08) at the Boise Relays at Dona Larsen Park.

Lily Munson, Rocky Mountain: Took first in the 400 in a personal-best and state-leading time of 57.12 and ran a leg on the Grizzlies’ second-place 4x200 relay (1:45.94) at the Boise Relays at Dona Larsen Park.

Nadja Burkholder, Timberline: Recorded a season-best of 37-11.5, the top mark in the state, to win the triple jump at the Boise Relays at Dona Larsen Park.

SkotLynd Cagle, Skyview: Cleared a personal-best 12-0, the No. 2 mark in the state, to win the pole vault at the Boise Relays at Dona Larsen Park.

Lily Yeakley, Parma: Took first in the 200 (25.83) and ran legs on the Panthers’ winning 4x100 (51.44) and 4x400 relays (4:17.46) and added a runner-up finish in the long jump (16-0) at the Weiser Invitational.

Olyvia Denison, Payette: Swept the long jump (16-6) and triple jump (35-11.5) at the Weiser Invitational.

Morgan Nicoletti, Homedale: Placed first in the pole vault (10-0) and tied for first in the 100 hurdles (17.62) at the Weiser Invitational.

RyLee Camarillo, Liberty Charter: Took first in the 400 in a personal-best 1:01.07 and added a second-place showing in the 200 (27.56) at the Weiser Invitational.

Mia Yearsley, Garden Valley: Won the shot put with a season-best throw of 32-8 at the 21-team Weiser Invitational.

Nyah Richardson, Melba: Cleared a personal-best 5-4 to win the high jump at the 21-team Weiser Invitational.

BOYS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ambrose Brainard, Eagle: Cleared a personal-best 7-0 in the high jump — the No. 7 mark in the nation this season — and he also won the long jump (22-7) at the Boise Relays at Dona Larsen Park.

Nick Loufoua, Capital: Set a Boise Relays meet record with a mark of 48-2 in the triple jump. It ranks No. 1 in the state and No. 31 nationally.

Logan Payne, Meridian: Ran a personal-best 1:54.01 — the No. 2 time in the state this season — to win the 800 at the Boise Relays at Dona Larsen Park.

Hyrum Tuft, Rocky Mountain: Won the 1,600 in a personal-best and state-leading time of 4:14.16 at the Boise Relays at Dona Larsen Park.

Ian Johnson, Nampa Christian: Took first in the 300 hurdles in a season-best 38.82 to win the event at the 54-team Boise Relays at Dona Larsen Park.

Cashton Gennette, Mountain View: Won the 200 in a personal-best 22.09 and ran a leg on the Mavericks’ winning 4x100 relay (41.70) at the Boise Relays at Dona Larsen Park.

Jackson Laird, Weiser: Swept the 100 (11.34) and 200 (22.51) at the 21-team Weiser Invitational.

Calvin Shaffer, Payette: Placed first in the shot put (52-2.5) and discus (140-6) at the Weiser Invitational.

Greer Green, Council: Won the 400 (52.03) and ran a leg on the Lumberjacks’ winning 4x400 relay (3:36.76) while also placing third in the 200 (23.44) and second in the 4x200 at the Weiser Invitational.

John Pounds, New Plymouth: Won the 800 in a personal-best 2:05.82, took second in the 1,600 (4:52.17) and ran a leg on the Pilgrims’ third-place 4x400 relay (3:52.02) at the Weiser Invitational.
