BOYS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Jaxson Freeman, Caldwell: Was named the tournament’s outstanding wrestler after going 5-0 with four tech falls to lead the Cougars to the team title at the Dick Fleischmann Duals.

Lochlan McCormack, Capital: Went 5-0 at the Dick Fleischmann Duals with three pins and two tech falls.

Evan Anders, Timberline: Recorded a pair of first-round pins to help lead the Wolves to the team title at the Grapple for the Granite, the Boise School District championship.

Dylan Frothinger, Eagle: Captured the 126-pound title at the Weiser Invite with two pins, a tech fall and an 8-3 decision in the finals.

Gage Ponton, Mountain View: Pinned three of the four opponents he faced for the 215-pound crown at the Weiser Invite.

Braelyn Arredondo, Homedale: Racked up two pins and two tech falls for the 132-pound title at the Weiser Invite, leading the Trojans to a second-place finish in the team standings.

Mathias Dalton, Emmett: Recorded two tech falls, a pin and a sudden-death overtime victory to bring home the 150-pound title from the Mario D’Orzaio Invite in Challis.

Thomas Dean, Nampa Christian: Rolled to the 132-pound title at the Pine Eagle Invite in Oregon with three pins and an injury default.

Gavin Springer, Tri-Valley: Pinned all five opponents he faced for the heavyweight title at the Pine Eagle Invite, leading the Titans to the team title.

GIRLS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Kiana Trudell, Meridian: Improved to 42-4, winning two rounds by pin in less than a minute to claim the 130-pound title at the Kimberly Girls Invitational.

Corianna Parsons, Weiser: Earned two first-round pins on her way to the 105-pound championship at the Kimberly Girls Invitational.

Krysta Alder, Emmett: Won by technical fall and then earned two pins to win the 115-pound bracket at the Mario D’Orazio Girls Invitational in Challis.

Tommy Stone, Eagle: Went 4-0 at 110 pounds to help Eagle win the Kimberly Dual Tournament with wins over Gooding, Skyline, Meridian and Thunder Ridge.

Kali Waggoner, Tri-Valley: Competing in the 120 to 130 weight class, Waggoner pinned all three of her opponents in the first round to win the title at the Pine Eagle Invite in Oregon.

Brooklyn Lanningham, Columbia: Won three rounds by pin before falling in the title match at 110 pounds at the Kimberly Girls Invitational.

Rosy Weatherspoon, Fruitland: Won two rounds by pin before losing in the title match at 120 pounds at the Kimberly Girls Invitational.
