BOYS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK
Gunner Sanchez, Owyhee: Went 6-0 on the week, highlighted by four pins, while winning the Padilla Invitational at 132 pounds at Parma High School.
Toby Abbott, Middleton: Earned two pins, two technical falls and a major decision to win the 126-pound bracket at the Padilla Invitational at Parma High School.
Burke Blue, Centennial: Won by pin, technical fall and major decision to claim the 106-pound title at the Padilla Invitational at Parma High School.
Cole Jensen, Rocky Mountain: Racked up two pins, a technical fall and won by decision in the title match at 113 pounds at the Padilla Invitational at Parma High School.
Talon Heinley, Payette: Earned pins in the first four rounds and won with a 1-0 decision in the title match at 215 pounds at the Padilla Invitational at Parma High School.
Isaias Torres, Fruitland: Won all four rounds by pin, including two in under 1 minute, to win the 285-pound title at the Padilla Invitational at Parma High School.
Ty Cobb, Weiser: Won two matches by technical fall, one by pin and one by major decision to claim the 150-pound bracket at the 52nd annual Buhl Invitational.
Jax Mescher, Bishop Kelly: Earned four pins and a technical fall to win the 144-pound title at the Ron Johnshoy Invite at Melba High School.
Thomas Dean, Nampa Christian: Totaled five pins on his way to the 132-pound title at the Ron Johnshoy Invite at Melba High School.
Michael Trammel, Meridian: Collected three pins, one technical fall and one decision to win the 126-pound championship at the Ron Johnshoy Invite at Melba High School.
Riley Kunz, Ridgevue: Won all four matches by pin to claim the 285-pound championship at the Ron Johnshoy Invite at Melba High School.
Hunter Metcalf, Melba: Earned four pins and won by a medical forfeit in the championship match at 190 pounds at the Ron Johnshoy Invite at Melba High School.
GIRLS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK
Maritza Garcia, Caldwell: Pinned her way through the 235-pound bracket to win the championship at the ninth annual Jaybrid Memorial at Columbia High School.
Taylor Drake, Kuna: Earned four pins and an 8-3 decision in the 110-pound championship match at the ninth annual Jaybrid Memorial at Columbia High School.
Lola Colo, Nampa: Won by pin in three rounds and notched a 14-2 major decision in the championship round of the 100-pound bracket at the Jaybird Memorial.
Ava Bui, Centennial: Improved to 25-2 on the season, racking up four technical falls and winning by pin in the title round at 105-pounds at the Jaybird Memorial.
Amy Twait, Meridian: Earned four pins and a win by decision to claim the 115-pound championship at the Jaybird Memorial.
Charlee Noah, Tri-Valley: Remained undefeated this season, racking up four pins and an 11-1 major decision in the title match at 125 pounds at the Jaybird Memorial.
Charlee Knapp, Middleton: Registered three pins, a technical fall and a decision on her way to the 135-pound championship at the Jaybird Memorial.
Maya Coyle, McCall-Donnelly: Won both rounds by pin to win the 125-pound championship at the Ron Johnshoy Invite at Melba High School.
Alison Dillbeck, Melba: Earned a 6-3 decision and a fall on her way to the 140-pound championship at the Ron Johnshoy Invite at Melba High School.
Gracie Howard, Meadows Valley: Pinned both her opponents to win the 145-pound title at the Ron Johnshoy Invite at Melba High School.
Whitney Heaton, Garden Valley: Pinned both her opponents in less than 1 minute to collect the 170-pound championship at the Ron Johnshoy Invite at Melba High School.
