BOYS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Tensei Thompson, Bishop Kelly: Finished fifth at 150 pounds at the Reno Tournament of Champions.

Gage Ponton, Mountain View: Brought home a fifth-place medal from the heavyweight bracket at the Reno Tournament of Champions.

Vincent Contreras, Nampa: Reached the semifinals at the Reno Tournament of Champions before finishing sixth at 126 pounds.

Alejandro Vega, Meridian: Recorded two pins and two decisions to win the 113-pound bracket at the Wiley Dobbs Invite.

Cyler Beeson, Middleton: Pinned two of the three opponents he faced for the 98-pound title at the Wiley Dobbs Invite.

Marcus Aleman, Fruitland: Brought home the 126-pound title from the Wiley Dobbs Invite with two pins, a tech fall, a major decision and a 10-6 decision in the finals.

Ty Cobb, Weiser: Record two pins and a tech fall to win the 150-pound bracket at Oregon’s Elgin Memorial Classic.

WahNay Say, New Plymouth: Racked up four straight first-round pins for the 138-pound title at the Charlie Anthony Memorial, leading the Pilgrims to the team title.

Tucker Henne, Nampa Christian: Rode four pins and a tech fall to the 157-pound championship at the Charlie Anthony Memorial.

Christian Longoria, Payette: Pinned all four opponents he faced to cruise to the 190-pound title at the Charlie Anthony Memorial.

GIRLS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Charlee Noah, Tri-Valley: Racked up four first-round pins and a major decision to win the 125-pound title at the Reno Tournament of Champions.

Ella Elordi, Eagle: Scored three first-round pins to finish second at 190 pounds and lead the Mustangs to a fifth-place team finish at the Reno Tournament of Champions

Whitney Cawthrea, Rocky Mountain: Rode three pins, a tech fall and a decision to a third-place finish at the Reno Tournament of Champions in the 120-pound bracket.

Ava Bui, Centennial: Pinned two opponents and added two tech falls to finish fourth at 105 pounds at the Reno Tournament of Champions.

Emma Stansell, Kuna: Led the Kavemen to the team title by racking up four straight pins for the 140-pound championship at the Wiley Dobbs Invite.

Kiana Trudell, Meridian: Recorded four straight first-round pins to cruise to the 130-pound title at the Wiley Dobbs Invite and remain unbeaten this season at 16-0.

Tailyn Hirchert, Nampa: Pinned all four opponents she faced, including three in the first round, for the 100-pound title at the Wiley Dobbs Invite.

Natalya Hoobery, Weiser: Scored two pins and a major decision for the 235-pound crown at the Wiley Dobbs Invite.

Alivia Kirkendall, Payette: Led the Pirates to the team title at the Charlie Anthony Memorial, racking up three straight first-round pins for the 130-pound title.

Maliyah Garcia, New Plymouth: Went 3-0 with three pins for the 120-pound championship at the Charlie Anthony Memorial.
