GIRLS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Marisol Stosich, Mountain View: Scored five goals in two games, including a double-overtime golden goal against defending state champ Rocky Mountain, to send the Grizzlies to the 6A district semifinals.
Reagan Hom, Rocky Mountain: Buried six goals in a 12-0 win over Capital in the play-in round at the 6A District Three Tournament.
Maya Atkinson, Timberline: Scored twice to lead the Wolves to a 3-0 win over Kuna in the first round of the 6A District Three Tournament.
Lily Lowe, Kuna: Led the Kavemen to a spot in the 6A district tournament with five goals and two assists in wins over Ridgevue and Meridian.
Mary Higgins, Bishop Kelly: Set up two goals and scored one of her own in a 4-1 win over Borah in the 6A district play-in round.
Abby Linderman, Middleton: Racked up three goals and five assists in wins over Vallivue and Caldwell.
Mila Vanek, Skyview: Recorded a pair of goals in a 3-2 upset win against Vallivue, securing the Hawks a spot in the 5A District Three Tournament championship game.
Karli Roubidoux, Fruitland: Racked up seven goals and two assists as the Grizzlies wrapped up the 4A SRV regular-season title with wins over Parma and Weiser.
BOYS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Christian Griffith, Borah: Helped the Lions record five shutouts in the last five games, including eight straight wins, making 17 saves with a .667 goals against average.
Nolan Arnold, Owyhee: Led the Storm with three shutouts in three games against Capital, Timberline and Caldwell, making eight saves, including stopping a penalty kick in a first-round district game against Caldwell.
Luis Alonso, Caldwell: Helped the Cougars earn a pair of wins over Capital and Centennial, scoring three goals with one assist.
Elijah Grimaldo, Vallivue: Led the Falcons to back-to-back 5A District Three championships with three goals and one assist in a 5-0 victory over Nampa.
Brycen Wagoner, Ridgevue: Helped the Warhawks earn a 3-1 victory over Kuna in 6A SIC play with a pair of goals.
Nathan Compas, Parma: Kept the Panthers in second place in the 4A SRV with a 4-2 win over Fruitland, scoring two goals and assisting on two others.
Patrick Kane, Timberline: Had a hand in all three goals in the Wolves’ 3-1 win over Ridgevue, scoring two goals and adding an assist.
Jace Obenchain, Mountain View: Helped the Mavericks earn two 6A SIC wins over Rocky Mountain and Bishop Kelly, tallying one goal and two assists.
