5A BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Rodney (Tre) Morse III
Mountain Home, sr., P/1B
The Gonzaga commit continued to confound Idaho hitters, holding opponents to an all-class low .114 batting average. His ERA (1.27), strikeout total (91) and strikeout rate (15.1 per seven innings) all topped the 5A classification. And the two-way threat hit .438 with 36 RBIs.

Ryan Alexander
Bonneville
The Bees went 28-4 and fielded 5A’s top offense (9.9 runs per game) and defense (3.3) to win a second state title under Alexander.
ALL-STATE FIRST TEAM
Eli Daniel
Vallivue, so., UTIL/P
He led Vallivue to its best state finish since 2002 (third place), going 5-0 with a 3.21 ERA. He also hit .429 and led 5A with four home runs.
Carter Bowen
Bonneville, jr., SS/P
The Salt Lake CC commit’s fastball sat in the low 90s, posting a 5-1 record with a 2.27 ERA while hitting .427 with 41 RBIs and 15 stolen bases.
Greyson Martin
Bonneville, sr., 2B/SS
He wreaked havoc atop the Bees’ lineup, hitting .456 with a .585 on-base percentage and racking up 41 runs, 25 RBIs and 25 stolen bases.
Cooper Thompson
Twin Falls, sr., 1B/RF
A repeat first-team selection, the College of Southern Idaho commit hit .368 with a .544 on-base percentage, 33 runs and 29 RBIs.
Maddox Stadelmeir
Twin Falls, jr., C/P
The rock-solid backstop hit .318 with 30 RBIs and did plenty of damage on the mound too, going 6-3 with a 2.92 ERA and 53 strikeouts.
Tyson Izzo
Moscow, sr., C
The four-year starter, IEL MVP and Buena Vista (NCAA Division III) commit hit .433, slugged .611 and drove in 33 runs for the Bears.
Luca Quilici
Bishop Kelly, sr., P/LF
The College of Idaho commit commanded and mixed in three pitches, going 5-3 with 1.58 ERA while holding opponents to a .201 batting average.
Colten Spagnuolo
Bonneville, sr., P/3B
The clutch hitter finished atop the 5A leaders with 51 RBIs while hitting .407. The Treasure Valley CC commit also went 6-1 with a 2.29 ERA.
Butch Kiblen
Moscow, sr., P
The Tacoma CC commit served as the Bears’ workhouse, leading 5A in innings (60 ⅔) while going 7-1 with a 2.31 ERA and 81 strikeouts.
Colin Brazil
Bishop Kelly, so., SS/2B
The Knights’ leadoff hitter used a litany of tools to get on base, hitting .385 with a .468 on-base percentage to score 29 runs.
Easton Cannon
Blackfoot, sr., SS/P
A five-tool threat, the Utah State Eastern commit hit .411 with three home runs, 25 RBIs and 23 stolen bases. He also went 5-1 with a 2.97 ERA.
