5A SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Lauren Fettic
Bishop Kelly, sr., P/1B
The UNLV signee strapped the Knights on her back, leading them to six straight wins in elimination games for a state title. She went 20-5 with a 2.33 ERA and 232 strikeouts in the circle. She also hit .490 with 46 RBIs, and she cranked five of her seven home runs in her final 10 games.

Jesse Roehl
Lewiston
After starting the year 2-4, he led the Bengals (18-13) to their first state tournament since 2008 and brought home a second-place trophy.
ALL-STATE FIRST TEAM
Jenna Barney
Lewiston, sr., 3B/P
The Montana signee carried the Bengals as a two-way threat, dominating at the plate by hitting .557 with 12 home runs and a 1.998 OPS.
Molly Hodge
Twin Falls, sr., CF/P
The Boise State signee makes her fourth appearance on the all-state team after hitting .593 with 13 home runs, 41 RBIs and 18 stolen bases.
Makinzie Nelson
Wood River, sr., P/CF
The Montana signee led all classifications in home runs (19), batting average (.709), on-base percentage (.765) and slugging percentage (1.751).
Gracie Longhurst
Bonneville, so., P/LF
She led 5A in innings pitched (151), strikeouts (257) and complete games (17) while going 12-7 with a 2.36 ERA for her second first-team selection.
Abbie Eggleston
Vallivue, so., 2B
She did not strike out a single time in 98 plate appearances, posting a .570 batting average, driving in 29 runs and scoring 28 runs.
Charlie Naylor
Pocatello, jr., P/1B
She followed a two-time state player of the year and led the Thunder back to state, going 9-1 with a 2.95 ERA and 152 strikeouts in 87 innings.
Kenadi Whitlow
Middleton, so., C/1B
The SIC’s co-player of the year alongside Fettic, the rock-solid backstop posted a .467/.600/1.040 slash line with 12 home runs and 38 RBIs.
Grace Chambers
Skyview, so., 3B/LF
A second-team pick last year, she led the Hawks to a third-place trophy at state by hitting .490 with 30 RBIs and 22 stolen bases.
Brianna Reynolds
Blackfoot, jr., P/1B
A rare two-way threat, she went 10-3 with a 2.76 ERA and 141 strikeouts in 85 ⅓ innings. She also hit .520, slugged .853 and drove in 44 runs.
Ady Olmos
Burley, fr., P/SS
She led the Bobcats to their first state appearance in 17 years, going 15-7 with a 3.58 ERA while hitting .532 with six home runs.
Ally Evans
Century, sr., P
She held opponents to a .196 batting average, posted a 2.69 ERA and struck out 13.1 batters per seven innings as the Diamondbacks’ ace.
