6A SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Delaney Wright
Timberline, sr., P/1B
A three-time all-state pick, the Utah Tech signee capped her career by leading 6A in wins (17), strikeouts (252) and complete games (22). She was nearly as dangerous at the plate, hitting .543, slugging .971 and driving in 43 runs to carry the Wolves to a fourth-place trophy at state.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Kylie Orr
Mountain View
A year after missing the state tournament, she led her alma mater on an underdog run to finish 19-8 and capture the second-place trophy.
ALL-STATE FIRST TEAM
McKenna Chavez
Capital, jr., SS
The BYU commit and three-time all-state pick led 6A in batting average (.573) and on-base percentage (.687) while ranking second in steals (32).
Hailey Brennan
Owyhee, so., P/RF
She led all divisions in ERA (0.93) and batting average against (.108) for the second straight season, going 10-0 with 135 Ks in 67 ⅓ innings.
McKenna Schab
Owyhee, sr., C/CF
The Idaho State signee didn’t make a single error behind the plate, backstopped the state’s top pitching staff and hit .417 with 10 home runs.
Grace Brooks
Owyhee, sr., P/3B
The Division I signee (Providence) went 10-1 with a 2.02 ERA and 13.1 strikeouts per seven innings, while also hitting .479 with eight home runs.
Peyton Bargen
Eagle, jr., P/DH
The two-way threat carried her team, going 15-6 with a 2.39 ERA and 147 strikeouts. She also hit .543, slugged 1.173 and cranked 15 home runs.
Danica Quinn
Rocky Mountain, sr., SS
The four-year starter wrapped up her career with a bang, leading 6A in home runs (17) and ranking second in RBIs (46) while hitting .463.
Layla Gugino
Lake City, sr., SS
The Montana signee, IEL MVP and four-year starter stood atop the 6A leaderboard in RBIs (57) and slugging percentage (1.213) while hitting .506.
Hailey Bock
Owyhee, fr., P/CF
The state champs’ leadoff hitter finished with a .500 batting average and served as their No. 3 pitcher, going 8-0 with a 1.50 ERA.
Cali Moorhouse
Centennial, jr., 2B/UTIL
She led Centennial to one of its best seasons in years, playing all over the diamond while hitting .563 with eight home runs and 40 RBIs.
Jenna Davenport
Coeur d’Alene, so., P/2B
The top pitcher in North Idaho, she led the Vikings to state by going 9-4 with a 2.50 ERA and 124 strikeouts while also hitting .492.
Audrey McKibben
Capital, sr., LF/CF
The NNU commit robbed hits with her range, gunned down runners on the basepaths, and hit .440 with 24 RBIs and 15 stolen bases.
