SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Hailey Bock, Owyhee: Delivered the Storm the 6A state championship with a walk-off single in a 3-2 win over Mountain View. She went 5-for-9 at the plate during the tournament, and held opponents to two runs while striking out 18 in 15 innings.

Kiki Bangham, Mountain View: Went 11-for-19 with four doubles, a home run and five RBIs as the Mavericks bounced back from a first-round loss for the runner-up trophy at the 6A state tournament.

Peyton Bargen, Eagle: Finished the weekend 5-for-11 with a double and a home run as the Mustangs finished third at the 6A state tournament. She also held opponents to 10 earned runs and struck out 17 in 22 ⅔ innings.

Ashlyn Graklanoff, Timberline: Went 4-for-13 with three home runs and four RBIs to lead the Wolves to a fourth-place trophy at the 6A state tournament.

Lauren Fettic, Bishop Kelly: Led the Knights back from a first-round loss to the 5A state title. She went 6-1 in the circle with a 2.31 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 30 ⅓ innings. She also went 10-for-24 with three doubles, three home runs and nine RBIs.

Grace Chambers, Skyview: Went 10-for-14 with three doubles, a home run, five RBIs and four stolen bases to lead the Hawks to a third-place trophy at the 5A state tournament.

Lauren Colson, Cole Valley Christian: Went 7-for-14 with four home runs, seven RBIs and nine stolen bases to lead the Chargers to the 4A state title.

Natalya Hoobery, Weiser: Went 3-for-11 with a double, a home run and four RBIs to help the Wolverines bring home the third-place trophy from the 4A state tournament.

Peyton Shook, Nampa Christian: Pitched every inning to lead the Trojans to their first state championship. She went 4-0 with a 3.36 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 25 innings. She also went 6-for-18 with two home runs and six RBIs.

Maya Jensen, Parma: Went 10-for-15 with two doubles and six RBIs to help the Panthers bring home the fourth-place trophy from the 3A state tournament.
