4A ALL-IDAHO PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Brody Burch

Pocatello, sr., P/INF

He recorded one of the greatest single-day performances in Idaho history, winning a state track title in the 800, then hopping a plane and recording two hits and the save in the 4A state title game. He went 8-0 with a 0.41 ERA with 65 strikeouts, and he hit .383 for the season.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Vinnie Benevidez

Pocatello

He guided the Thunder to a 20-2 record and their first state title since 2012. Pocatello’s only losses came to out-of-state teams in Arizona.

FIRST TEAM

Nolan Hardesty

Twin Falls, sr., P

Most hitters could only shake their head after facing Hardesty, who went 9-1 with a 0.79 ERA and an all-class leading 129 strikeouts in 61 innings.

Dax Whitney

Blackfoot, jr., P

The Oregon State commit dominated on the mound and at shortstop. He finished 6-1 with a 1.18 ERA and 91 strikeouts, and he hit .453 with 30 RBIs.

Grayden Lucas

Skyview, jr., P

Born with one hand, the ace for the state runner-up kept hitters off balance all season, going 3-1 with a 1.21 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 40 ⅓ innings.

Martin Serrano

Pocatello, jr., C

The Thunder trusted Serrano to call his own game, he shut down the running game and he racked up a .481 batting average with 32 RBIs.

Jayce Vaughan

Pocatello, sr., INF

The Mesa (Arizona) CC commit makes the first team again after hitting .463 with 42 runs scored, 28 RBIs and 17 stolen bases.

Wyatt Solosabal

Twin Falls, jr., INF

A spark plug atop the lineup, the shortstop could hit for average (.477), power (.750) and get on base (.589) with regularity. He also stole 15 bases.

Grady Daniels

Skyview, jr., INF

The power-hitting first baseman and Utah Tech commit led the 4A ranks with 41 RBIs while hitting .494 with an .839 slugging percentage.

Jacob Perez

Bonneville, sr., INF

The Idaho State football commit proved a dynamic weapon on the diamond as well, hitting .534 with 44 runs scored, 33 RBIs and 18 stolen bases.

Mccadden Evans

Pocatello, sr., OF

The center fielder and two-way threat has committed to the College of Southern Idaho after hitting .443 and going 7-0 with a 1.23 ERA on the mound.

Noah Palomares

Skyview, jr., OF

His speed allowed him to track down balls all over the outfield. And it paved the way for a .447 batting average, 43 runs and 14 stolen bases.

Bryce Mahlke

Twin Falls, jr., OF

His glove made him a headache for opposing hitters. And he did plenty of damage at the plate, hitting .459 and with 20 RBIs.
