VOLLEYBALL
Rhys Layton, Eagle: Posted 30 or more assists in four straight matches to lead the Mustangs to their first 5A district title since 2009. She had 43 assists and five aces in a four-set win over Timberline in the championship.
Alex Acevedo, Skyview: Had 19 kills in a sweep of Ridgevue in the 4A district tournament semifinals, then added 23 kills in a sweep of Columbia for the Hawks’ 12th straight district championship.
Ella Auchampach, Boise: Led the seventh-seeded Brave to a 5A state tournament berth with 76 digs, four aces and a 1.8 passing average as Boise upset Rocky Mountain and Centennial four a fourth-place finish at district.
Maggie Mills, Columbia: Led the Wildcats to a 4A state tournament berth and a runner-up finish at district with 24 kills, 22 digs and a block and an ace.
Tia Hand, Victory Charter: Racked up 16 aces, 37 assists and 55 digs to lead the Vipers to a 1A Division I state tournament play-in game for the first time in program history.
Kaiya Gerhardt, Owyhee: Tallied 27 kills, 59 digs, three aces and three blocks as the Storm finished third at the 5A district tournament to clinch a spot at state.
Annelie Wilson, Horseshoe Bend: Racked up 24 kills, 17 digs, four assists, three aces and a block in a four-set win vs. Council in the 1A Division II district championship.
