Centennial High graduate Sofia Huerta’s professional soccer career has already included several milestones.
She signed her first professional contract in 2015. She played overseas last winter. She’s faced off against some of the top players in the world.
But on Aug. 20, she’ll cross off another milestone — her own bobblehead.
The Chicago Red Stars will award a bobblehead of their midfielder to the first 400 fans through the gates of their Aug. 20 match against FC Kansas City. Huerta’s is the final bobblehead in a three-pack promotion featuring ESPN reporter and Chicago native Sarah Spain and Red Stars coach Rory Dames.
Huerta has scored two goals and tallied three assists in 13 games for the Chicago Red Stars this season.
