Lauren Bouvia of Weiser High wrapped up her record-setting prep career with her second consecutive Gatorade Idaho Girls Soccer Player of the Year award on Monday.

Bouvia ranks No. 2 in national prep history with 311 career goals. She set a national single-season record as a junior with 127 goals.

As a senior, the 5-foot-6 forward scored 98 goals with 26 assists, leading Weiser (20-2) to the 3A state semifinals. Bouvia registered at least three goals in every regular-season game, including 13 games with five or more.

“Lauren is one of the best players on the ball I have ever coached,” FC Nova coach Brian Smith said in a release. “Lauren has great vision and is a very good passer. She has great pace and strength as well.”

Bouvia participated in the High School All-American Game in North Carolina in December and has signed with UC Davis.
