State soccer: 11 Treasure Valley teams advance to semifinals

RIDGEVUE 3, CENTURY 2: Ridgevue surprised nearly everyone to qualify for state as a first-year program without a single senior.
The Warhawks continued their Cinderella run Thursday by knocking off defending state champion Century 3-2 in the first round of the 4A state tournament at the Idaho Falls Soccer Complex.
Ridgevue (10-8-3), which has won seven of its last eight games, never trailed against the Diamondbacks (13-4-1). Giovanni Ramirez, Isaiah Luna and Ezri Palacios scored for the Warhawks, who take on conference rival Caldwell at 2 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.
CALDWELL 1, JEROME 0 (2 OT): Jesus Lechuga scored a golden goal in the second overtime, thanks to an assist from Hector Bermudez, as Caldwell returned to the semifinals for the second straight year.
SKYVIEW 2, TWIN FALLS 0: Brahayan Martinez found the back of the net and set up Omar Sosa’s goal as the Hawks advanced to the semifinals, where they face Blackfoot.
CLASS 5A
CENTENNIAL 2, MTN. VIEW 1: Alex Draghici scored twice as the Patriots edged their district rival for a fourth straight trip to the semifinals.
BOISE 4, LAKE CITY 1: Kaden Baratcart scored twice and set up another goal, while Matt Ivanoff tallied a goal and an assist for the Braves.
ROCKY MTN. 2, HILLCREST 0: Jonah Dalmas put the Grizzlies on the board, then set up Kyle Jones for a 60th-minute strike as Rocky Mountain advanced to the semifinals to face Boise.

SUGAR-SALEM 1, WEISER 0: Kyle Terry’s goal ended Weiser’s bid for back-to-back state titles.

CENTENNIAL 2, MTN. VIEW 1 (OT): The Patriots kept their quest for a three-peat alive and stretched their unbeaten streak to 23 games as Makayla Christensen and Brenna Davidson scored.
ROCKY MTN. 1, BOISE 0: Regan Widner broke a scoreless tie as Rocky Mountain, which needed to win a play-in game to qualify for the tournament, advanced to the semifinals for the third time in four years.
TIMBERLINE 4, MADISON 0: Aidan Borders scored and set up two more goals for the Wolves, who take on Rocky Mountain in the semifinals.
CLASS 4A
BISHOP KELLY 6, WOOD RIVER 0: Aubree Chatterton netted two goals and added two assists for the Knights, who won their 18th straight game and advanced to the semifinals for the seventh year in a row.
TWIN FALLS 2, SKYVIEW 0: Alexa Rierson scored twice to knock Skyview into the consolation bracket.
CENTURY 3, MIDDLETON 1: The Diamondbacks scored twice in the final 10 minutes to break a tie.

WEISER 2, SHELLEY 0: Lauren Bouvia tallied her 93rd goal of the season and set up Liz Perez for a score as the defending state champs spoiled Shelley’s perfect record.
