Former Boise State golfer Travis turning professional

Ty Travis, the reigning Idaho State Open champion who graduates from Boise State in December, will make his professional debut at the Nevada Open in Mesquite on Nov. 10-12. After graduation, he will train in Arizona for the 2016 Canadian PGA Tour. Travis is a former Idaho State Amateur champion who also won one individual state title and three team state championships at Eagle High.
