Idaho men’s basketball team will play in CBI

The Vandals accepted a bid to participate in the College Basketball Invitational — their first postseason tournament since 2011-12.

Idaho (21-12) will play Seattle (14-16) at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Seattle.

The CBI is a 16-team, single-elimination tournament until the Championship Round, which is a three-game series. All games played at the home site of the higher-seeded team.

In the Big Sky Tournament, Idaho took down local-rival Eastern Washington in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament, before falling to No. 2 Montana in the semifinals.
