Big Sky men’s basketball: Idaho tops Northern Colorado

IDAHO 75, N. COLORADO 70

Chad Sherwood hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give Idaho the lead with 3:08 left, and Perrion Callandret converted 11-of-12 from the free-throw line in the final 1:43 as the Vandals held off Northern Colorado.

Jamal Evans hit two 3-pointers in the final minute, and Anthony Johnson added a third, but Northern Colorado could not get closer than four points.

Sherwood, who knocked down 6-of-8 from beyond the arc, and Callandret, who finished 13-of-14 from the line, each scored 18 points to lead Idaho (10-5, 2-0 Big Sky). Victor Sanders and Chris Sarbaugh each contributed 11 points.

Evans finished with 24 points to lead the Bears (4-10, 1-1).

WEBER ST. 77, IDAHO ST. 56

Joel Bolomboy posted a double-double, scoring 25 points with 13 rebounds, as Weber State (9-5, 1-0 Big Sky) notched its fourth-straight win by beating Idaho State.

Ethan Telfair scored 15 points with six rebounds for the Bengals (5-8, 0-1).
