Perrion Callandret scored 18 points, and Idaho jumped out early and cruised to a victory over UC Davis. Arkadiy Mkrtychyan and Victor Sanders added 12 points apiece for Idaho (8-5). Darius Graham scored 13 points to lead UC Davis (4-6). Boise State hosts UC Davis on Dec. 30.

IDAHO STATE FALLS TO UTAH STATE

LOGAN, Utah — Chris Smith and Jalen Moore combined for 41 points and 19 rebounds to lead Utah State over Idaho State in the Global Sports Hoops Showcase. Smith had 22 points for the Aggies (7-3). Geno Luzcando led Idaho State (3-7) with 21 points.

BOISE STATE SCHEDULED TO PLAY EVANSVILLE NEXT YEAR

The men’s basketball team will travel to Evansville in Indiana next season as part of the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge. The game is scheduled for Dec. 3. The Broncos clinched a Mountain West victory in this year’s event by beating Bradley on Sunday. Boise State’s next game this season is Dec. 30 against UC Davis in Taco Bell Arena.

BOISE STATE GYMNASTICS

The Broncos are ranked No. 19 in the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches preseason poll. The Broncos return five gymnasts who picked up six all-conference honors and finished last season ranked No. 20, earning the program’s 29th regionals appearance. The Broncos will compete against BYU at CenturyLink Arena as part of the Gem State Invitational on Jan. 29.
