Idaho ties in the NFL: Raiders promote Vandals’ Toomer
Oakland added linebacker Korey Toomer (Idaho) to its active roster, the club announced Saturday.
The Raiders waived defensive end Shelby Harris to make room on the roster.
The Raiders are down a linebacker for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets because of a knee injury to Neiron Ball.
Toomer was signed to the practice squad Tuesday. He was a fifth-round pick by Seattle in 2012 and has played eight games in his career for Dallas and St. Louis.
RENAUD BACK WITH VIKINGS
Fullback Blake Renaud (Boise State) was signed to the practice squad last week. He was signed as an undrafted rookie in April and was among the team’s final cuts at the end of the preseason.
