College of Idaho volleyball swept in Cascade Conference opener

No. 8 Eastern Oregon took care of the No. 11 Coyotes in straight sets Thursday night, winning 25-19, 25-16, 25-19 and ending the C of I’s winning streak at four games. Brenna Meehan led the C of I (5-4, 0-1 Cascade) with nine kills, Kilee Lopez (Vallivue High) added 14 digs and Jayde Folsom had 21 assists.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S SOCCER: The Crusaders tied Hawaii Pacific 2-2 in their regular-season opener in Nampa. Steven Garcia (Meridian High) and Logan Wood scored for NNU.

NNU WOMEN’S SOCCER: The Crusaders lost to Stanislaus State 3-1 in Hayward, Calif. Ashley Cook-Cox scored the lone goal for NNU.
