Max Hampton (Eagle High) earned All-American honors by placing seventh in the men’s 10,000 meters at the NAIA outdoor track and field championships Thursday in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Hampton, a two-time cross country All-American and a 2016 indoor track All-American in the 3,000-meters, completed the race in 31 minutes, 36.38 seconds. He will compete Friday in the preliminaries of the 5,000-meters — looking to repeat as an All-American in the event.

Also Thursday, three members of the women’s team advanced to the finals — Tiana Thomas (Middleton High, 400 hurdles), Amy Pfaff (1,500) and Lila Klopfenstein (Meridian High, 1,500).
