The College of Idaho men’s basketball team is the No. 4 seed in the Cascade Conference Championships and will host fifth-seeded Oregon Tech (22-8, 12-8) in the first round at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
The Yotes (17-12, 12-8) won both regular-season meetings over the Hustlin’ Owls by a combined six points. It will be the final Caldwell visit for Oregon Tech coach Danny Miles, who is retiring after 45 seasons and has 1,039 victories.
General admission tickets are available ($7-12), and reserved season-ticket holders have until noon Tuesday to purchase their seats at YoteAthletics.com. The Yotes completed their regular season late Saturday with a 57-43 victory over Walla Walla in College Place, Wash.
Regular-season champion Northwest Christian has an automatic berth to the NAIA Division II national tournament. The conference tournament champion also receives a national bid. If Northwest Christian also wins the tourney, second-seeded Southern Oregon would take the other qualifying spot.
