Idaho State football inks eight in-state recruits on Signing Day

Idaho State unveiled its 2016 recruiting class Wednesday, one with a heavy focus on the Gem State.

The Bengals added 29 players, including eight scholarship athletes from Idaho and three walk-ons. The Bengals added six in-state recruits on Signing Day last year and seven in 2014.

Highlighting the local recruiting class is the 5A All-Idaho Player of the Year, Mountain View’s TreyTon Bell, who will move from running back to slot receiver. Other Treasure Valley recruits joining him in Pocatello are Mountain View linebacker Jared Gibson, Capital offensive lineman Jacob Molenaar, Kuna tight end Jake Johnson and Emmett’s Mason Farnsworth, the 3A All-Idaho Player of the Year who will walk-on.
