Boise State tennis dominates Southern Utah

The Broncos didn’t give up more than two games in any set, beating Southern Utah 7-0 to move to 3-0.

The victory gives head coach Greg Patton his 777th career win, moving him into fourth all-time among Division I coaches.

No. 1 Brian Foley won 6-1, 6-0, while No. 2 Abe Hewko won 6-0, 6-0. Boise State travels to College Station, Texas, to take on San Francisco on Saturday and will play the winner of Texas A&M and Fresno State on Sunday.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes gave up an early second-half run and couldn’t come back, losing to Eastern Oregon 73-47 in La Grande, Ore. No C of I (4-13, 3-8 Cascade) player scored in double figures.

C OF I MEN’S BASKETBALL: The C of I went ice cold in the second half and couldn’t stay with Eastern Oregon in a 95-74 road loss. The Coyotes (12-8, 7-4 Cascade) shot 26.3 percent in the second half.
